I've been to Las Vegas dozens of times. In fact, the odds are that you've been there too. However, only a small portion of folks who visit Las Vegas, will drive the 90 minutes north to the Valley of Fire. This amazing park stands out of the desert landscape like a piece of Mars that crashed to Earth. Bold bright red mountains surround this road, which cuts through a landscape used for countless television and movie productions. In fact, this is where Captain Kirk met his end in Star Trek: Generations. In this photograph, rolling hills and asphalt cut through the northern part of the park.
